Gorgeous furnishings, including intricately-carved wooden chairs and sideboards, are sure to dazzle you, along with superlative examples of stoneware and earthenware. Kaleideum Downtown

Children need pastimes that keep them occupied. Kids love Kaleideum Downtown (which used to be called the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem), so it’s the ideal indoor attraction for families. This museum is situated at 390 S Liberty St.

At Kaleideum Downtown, children learn as they play, whether they’re being taught proper (and fun) hand washing techniques by friendly museum staff members, visiting play stations in the fairytale-themed enchanted forest exhibit, or exploring the outdoor surprise garden. There is also a beautiful library where parents and caregivers can sit with children and read them stories.

Aside from wonderful exhibits that give kids the power to express themselves and expand their horizons, there are special events, such as summer camps for children, song circles, and sensory-friendly Mondays. Sensory-friendly Mondays feature activities that are designed to appeal to children who are on the autism spectrum. Check out the current schedule at the official museum website to see what’s planned for the future.

As you can see, you can learn more about the city and its people. These popular attractions deliver for tourists and residents alike, year after year. All of them are well worth a visit.
